Theunit can
deliver concrete at
1778psi (123bar),
Reed says is thebest
in its class, and the
42 inch (1.07m)
pump stroke is also
said tobe the longest
in class. Power comes
from a 97kW (130
hp)Cummins engine
and the axle is rated at
9,000 lbs (4.09 tonnes).
TheB50HPS also
features a low level reinforcedhopper.
Subaru Industrial Engines’ standwill
feature twonewV-Twin engines, the 35hp
(26kW) EH90 and40hp (30kW) EH99.
The company says these air-cooledgasoline
engines are suitable for applications including
concretepolishers, ride-on trowels andutility
vehicles.
The 1-litre class engines feature
heavy-duty connecting rods, large
crankshaft bearings and three-ring
pistons. Subaru says thehardened
exhaust valve and seats canhandle
high temperatures, which improves
engineperformance, efficiency and
overall life of the engine.
Temperature sensors are
locatedon the
engineheads and
have anoptional
engine shutoff to
prevent anydamage
fromoverheating.
In addition, the
standard four-cycle
engines feature a
dual element air
filter that protects the
engine fromdust and
reducesmaintenance.
AnoptionalDonaldson
canister style air cleaner has
an inlet pre-cleaner, which
offers additional filtration
by removing amajorityof theparticles
before they reach the filter,minimising
maintenance and extending the intervals
between cleanings or filter changes.
DeckoProductswill show its newPower
AssistWheelbarrow (PAW), theProPAW.
This offers 136kg (300 lbs) of capacity and
comeswith a 24V, battery-operated two-
wheel drive system to allow suchheavy loads
tobemoved andmanoeuvred. The company
says thatwith this system, the tub and steel
frame canbe takenup inclines as steep as 15°
fully loaded.
Control is via a simplepushbutton and
forward/reverse switch, and the forwardgear
offers a ‘powerburst’ function tohelp tackle
steephills or other difficult ground. Theunit
comes fittedon380mm (15 inch) tyres and a
charger is included for thedual 21Vbattery
system.
Withmanyother exhibitors likely tohave
equipment of interest to this sector and the
LasVegasExhibition andConventionCentre,
this event, the first in the annual calendar of
tradeshowswill certainlybeworth a visit.
