Meanwhile, SandvikConstruction is
targeting a 20% growth in sales inChina
next yearwith a significant amount of that
growth coming from crushing and screening
operations. The challenging targetwas
announcedbypresidentDingguiGao at
baumaChina.
The company said that despite anoverall
“flat” constructionmarket inChina itwas
confident that it could achieve its 20% target
through expansion inkey sectors over 2015.
In the crushing and screening sector
Sandvik expects smaller operations inChina
to closewhilebigger ones expand. As far as
mobile crushing is concerned, the company
expects significant expansionplus added
growth in the constructionmaterials recycling
sector.
GregAlbert, Sandvik’s president global
markets, added: “themarket inChina is fairly
flat at themoment - not bad - just flat.We are
now considering this tobeour new ‘normal’
andwe are looking atways of growingunder
thesemarket conditions. “We are looking to
provide customerswith solutions rather than
just pieces of equipment.”
Sandvik launched anumber of new

on show
The first fruits of the joint venture between
MetsoMinerals and LiuGong were on
show at the bauma China trade show. The
joint venture company, LiuGongMetso
Construction Equipment (Shanghai) Co. Ltd
presented a new 40 tonnemobile crusher
built aroundMetso’s Nordberg C106
single toggle jaw crusher designated as
the LiuGong LM J106. Themachine was
joined on the stand by the LM S48 tracked
screen. Both are said to designed for the
Chinesemarket, with the crusher featuring
an diesel delivering 194 kW (260 hp)
certified to Tier II and the latter, weighing
in at 32 tonnes, featuring a Tier III engine
delivering 86 kW (116 hp).
According to the company, they are
designed for crushing hard stones and
recovering buildingmaterials in quarrying,
mining, cement, municipal road and
bridge construction applications as well
as construction waste recycling. They
are claimed to deliver high productivity,
low fuel consumption, high reliability, high
safety factor and easy operation.
LiuGong-Metso is focussing on serving
and developing track-mountedmobile
crushing and screening plant for Chinese
customers. The joint venture combines
Metso’s knowledge of track-mounted
mobile crushing and screening plants with
themarketing network and production
capacity of LiuGong in China.
Danish
success for
Rockster
Brødrene Christensen, from Tjæreborg in
Denmark, opened a new recycling centre
in Esbjerg in 2014, where it recycles
asphalt, concrete, bricks and other
construction debris. The company's old
jaw crusher and separate screening plant
were proving unsatisfactory since the two
machines could only produce some 400
tonnes of 0-32mm diameter product,
themost popular size every day.
Rockster’s Danish distributor,
Meldgaard Handel A/S f, is a long
time business partner of Christensen
and showed it the Rockster R1100D.
“I suggested that we demonstrate the
R1100D impact crusher with screen box
and return belt at their yard, because I
was personally convinced that this unit
would be perfect for their requirements,”
said salesmanager KlausMeldgaard. On
the first day, a throughput of 900 tonnes
was achieved and on the second 1,200
tonnes was produced. Given the quality
of the resulting output, Christensen has
already added several new customers.
Rockster plants can be supplemented
with a screening system consisting of a
screenbox and return belt that makes
crushing and screening possible on one
mobile plant. Christensen uses it to crush
0/32 directly as well as re-loading and
crushing oversizedmaterial. Including the
screenbox and return belt, the R11000D
weighs less than 40 tonnes and can be
easily transported without the need for
special permits.
