The other new system will be the
Aggresand 206 wash plant, the larger model of
the recently launched 165, with a throughput
of 400 tonnes per hour. It offers modular
design features, increased productivity and all
the features of the smaller 165 plat.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT
There will also be a substantial amount of
general construction equipment on show
on the floor of the quarry that will be of
interest.
For instance, Bell Equipment
will be displayed its E-Series
ADTs that were previewed
at the 2012 event and
were officially launched
in the UK at the end of
2013. The E Series builds
on Bell’s established
D-Series and offer
increased production payloads,
lower operating costs, improved
ride quality and high safety
standards. Bell will
also be providing
an update on its
forthcoming Tier 4 engines
for wheeled loaders.
Case’s Heavy range will take centre stage
at Hillhead with a line-up on the stand that
will include 621FXT, 721FXR, 1021F, 1121F
F series wheel loaders, CX130C, CX145,
CX210C, CX370C and CX800B crawler
excavators, plus a 1650M dozer. Machines
from the Midi range will include the WX180
wheeled excavator, together with Case’s Tier
4 final midi excavators, the CX75C SR and
CX80C SR models. The Compact line-up
will include Case’s new Tier 4 SV185, and a
CX18B, CX30B and CX50B zero-swing mini
excavator, plus a 580ST series backhoe loader.
Among the Doosan products on show will
be the 52 tonne DX530LC-3 excavator and
the DL420-3 wheel loader. The DX530LC-3
model offers the strength and productivity
needed for heavy duty work such as large-
scale earthmoving, moving rock, pulling
down buildings, secondary breaking and
loading haulers found on quarry, mining,
highway, aggregate, demolition, utility and
general construction projects. It is powered
by an Isuzu AL-6WG1X Stage IIIB compliant
diesel engine providing 290 kW (389 hp) at
1,800 RPM.
With a bucket capacity of 4.0 m
3
, the
DL420-3 wheel loader is intended to meet a
wide range of material-handling needs from
loading and transporting granular material
(such as sand and gravel) to industrial, mining
and quarrying applications. Part of the family
of Stage IIIB compliant large wheel loaders
from Doosan, the DL420-3 wheel loader
combines high engine power output and
SCR technology with a new ZF transmission
and several other features to minimise fuel
consumption.
Meanwhile, Hyundai will launch two
new machines at the show getting their
world debut in the shape of the 42.6 tonne
R430LC-9A, powered by a 231 kW (310 HP)
Cummins QSL9 Stage IIIB, that is ideal for
bulk earthmoving, large civil engineering and
quarrying work. It will be joined by the 12
tonne short tail swing R125LC-9 that fits well
between the RC80LC-9 and the R140LC-9.
Other representatives machines form the
company will also be on show.
For JCB, the focus at Hillhead will be on
fuel saving. Taking centre stage will be new
fuel saving models that all will make their
UK show debuts. These include: the new
457 wheeled loading shovel, the updated
JS360 tracked excavator and a new
series of compact excavators.

The recently launched I-100RS
impact crusher will be another
highlight on the Terex Finlay stand
Bell showcased its E-Series ADTs at
Hillhead in 2012 and launched them
into the UK at the end of 2013
