UNBEATABLE
PERFORMANCE
Nobody beats Brokk
when it comes to demolition
at reconstructions or renovations of residential,
commercial or industrial facilities. This remote-
controlled, electric powerhouse combines
impressive hitting power with an outstanding
reach, while the operator works at a safe distance
from vibrations and falling debris.
Brokk is so light that it can work even on weak
floors. So clever that it can take the stairs (or the
elevator) between floors. So effective that you see
the difference on the bottom line. In each project.
H
yundai is set to officially launch its
new 6 tonne class short tail swing
R60CR-9A at the forthcoming
Hillhead show in the UK. According to the
company, the new machine, which replaces
the previous R60CR-9, has been designed to

New short tail
swing from Hyundai
is designed for efficient work in congested
residential and urban areas. The boom can be
offset left or right within an operating range
and increased swing torque provides enhanced
operating capability when working on a slope.
The new midi excavator offers arm digging
force to 26.5 kN and a bucket digging force
of 40.9 kN in the short arm version and a
maximum digging depth of 3.6 m (11.8 ft).
The R60CR-9A cabin structure has been fitted
with stronger but slimmer tubing for added
safety and improved visibility, and low-stress,
high strength steel is integrally welded to form
a stronger, more durable upper and lower
frame.
comfort, durability, ease of maintenance and
serviceability. The result is a machine that
offers an ideal solution when working in
confined spaces in urban environments where
manoeuverability is key, says Hyundai.
Power comes from a Yanmar Tier 4 Final/
Stage IIIB diesel developing 48.3 kW (64.8
hp) that provides 10% greater power than the
engine used in the R60CR-9A’s predecessor.
In addition, the new machine offers a 14%
reduction in fuel consumption. A larger and
more efficient radiator and oil cooler provide
30% greater cooling capacity as a result of a
higher air flow rate.

Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe has
introduced the 15 tonne ZW180-5 wheeled loader
that has been designed with the European market
in mind, where it says the demand is for highly
productive but fuel efficient machines that have
a smaller impact on the environment and a lower
total cost of ownership. The ZW180-5 is powered
by a 6.7 litre six cylinder air cooled turbocharged
diesel developing 126 kW (169 hp) to provide
powerful digging performance and high travel
speeds but with excellent fuel consumption. Hitachi
says that the new machine uses 10% less fuel than
the model it replaces.
