popular in transmission construction work. Other
new accessories to be unveiled include a pin-on
yoke aerial work platform for Elliott BoomTrucks,
a new 55-foot jib for working heights over 210
feet on the 40142R, and a wide range of other
accessories and chassis configurations geared
toward the utility and construction industries.
Safer access solutions
Little Giant Ladder Systems (1825)
will unveil
the Aerial Safety Cage, its latest of industrial
fiberglass climbing equipment. The Cage’s fully
enclosed, adjustable work platform allows aerial
access without requiring operators to tie-off.
The Cage is a mobile, cost-effective, and
versatile solution to tie-off rules: Each side
of the Cage adjusts independently, allowing
operators to place the standing platform at 5,
6, 7, 8 or 9 feet (also available in 3 to 5-foot
and 8 to 14-foot models); The Cage adjusts
to work over obstacles, uneven surfaces, and
stairs; Retractable stabilizing outriggers increase
the base width and prevent tips or falls from
over-reaching; Secure 42-inch-tall enclosure,
midspan, kick plate and a standing platform
protect operators, allowing them 360-degree
aerial access; Non-conductive fiberglass
construction for safety near live electrical
circuits and Tip & Glide Wheels make it easy to
handle and transport, the company says.
“The Aerial Safety Cage is a huge step
forward in industrial safety equipment,” said H.
Arthur Wing, president. “You can take it almost
anywhere on a jobsite, and you can work both
quickly and safely while in complete compliance
with tie-off rules. And more importantly, the
Cage will help more people get their work done
and get home safely every day.”
The Equipment Lock Company (3211)
will
showcase its brand new Forklift Ramps for
sea containers. To accompany the Equipment
Lock Company’s (TELC) anti-theft locking
devices for sea containers, TELC now offers
customers adjustable Forklift Ramps. Customers
can easily use the diamond plate steel ramps
with ergonomic carrying handles to drive their
forklifts safely in and out of their containers.
Each ramp weighs about 75 pounds and comes
with a marker pole so that the driver can easily
identify the outer most sides of the ramps when
exiting the container.
