its 20 to112 tonne truckmounted cranes in
India. The companyhas soldone30 tonne
HK-90,mountedonaBharatBenz chassis
toMumbai-based rental firmShreeDinesh
Industries.Kobelcoalsobookeda recent
order for a100 tonne capacityCKLi 1000
crawler crane fromNewDelhi-based civil
contractor SBProtech. It earlier supplied
two crawlerunits toSBProtech for the
DelhiMetroproject. Indianaccessplatform
vehicledistributor,Mtandt showed the
FurukawaUnicUR-V503 truckmounted
crane,witha three section telescopicboom.
Mtandt has entered intoan exclusive
distributionwithFurukawa formarketing
its 3 to8 tonne telescopicboom cranes in
India. It has also entered intoamarketing
agreementwithPMof Italy fordistributing
2 to100 tonne-metre truckmounted
telescopicknuckleboom cranes. Subhamoy
Ghosh,Mtandt president ofAWPand
VME, said, “The craneswill beused for
infrastructure, industries andpower
transmission sectors formaintenance.”
Local towers
In the tower crane sector, Liebherr showed
the85EC-B5i flat top tower crane,
manufacturedat the company’s factory in
Pune. InNoida, at the timeofwriting in
2014, an85EC-B5iwas inuse as internal
climbing craneon theAmadeusproject,
where abuildingwith36 floors isdue for
completionby the endof 2016.
Manitowoc launched the5 tonne
capacityPotainMCT85and the10
tonne capacityPotainMCT205. Both
aremanufacturedat its factory inPune.
Thibault LeBesnerais,Manitowocglobal
product director for tower cranes, said, “We
have seendemand in thismarket due to the
pre-cast concretebuilding sector,which is
growing in India.”
