transportationof two evaporators and a
separator fromPlovdiv inBulgaria to the
port of Regensburg inGermany.
The evaporatorweighed78 tonnes
andmeasured27metres long, 4.05m
wide and3.85mhigh. The separator
weighed9 tonnes andwas 7m long, 3.7
mwide and3.9mhigh. Thepieceswere
transported400km from the factory at
HollemanBulgaria’sheavy job
The new 4050TA, the latest model in
Talbert Manufacturing’s Travelling
Axle Series, has been launched. The
trailer has 36 inch deck height and a
California-legal trailer length. The
4050TA has a 36.2 tonne capacity, a 7
degree load angle and an updated e-chain
for the air and electrical lines. The
15.2metre trailer has been designed for
Hale Trailer, in Voorhees, New Jersey.
It has a 6.8 tonne planetary winch that
operateswith awireless remote. The unit
also has an optional six-function remote to
operate themovement of the axles, winch
and deckwhile loading, themanufacturer
added. Additional equipment includes a
48 inch (1,200mm) aluminium or steel
bulkheadwith strobe andwork lights and
a Right Weigh load scale.

Plovdiv to theport inRuse by truck and
trailer combination. The transport vehicles
measured37m long, 4.05mwide and
4.95mhigh each, andweighed120 tonnes
once loaded. Along the route the transport
was required to cross several rail crossings.
Apolice escort accompanied the transport
and the journey took twodays.
On arrival at theport, the cargowas
loadedonto a river vessel and transhipped
toGermany.
