t just keeps getting bigger and better.
The International Awards for Powered
Access (IAPAs) attractedmore than 500
attendees April 3 at the Beaumont Estate Hotel
inWindsor, near London, UK. The event’s
dining and awards area sold out as anticipation
mounted for one of the biggest nights on the
access industry calendar.
The IAPAs took place on the same day as
another prestigious event, the IPAF Summit.
The audiencewas treated to a delicious
dinner followed by comedianDomHolland,
who ramped up the fun ahead of the awards
ceremony.
During his closing speech, TimWhiteman,
IPAF's CEO, revealed the location of next year’s
event. The 2015 IAPAswill take place in the
U.S. inWashingtonD.C.
Jointly organized by KHL’s
Access
International
and the International Powered
Access Federation (IPAF), the glittering event
celebrates best practice and excellence in the
powered access industry.
Therewas an outstanding response to the
IAPAs 2014, withmore than 100 entries across
13 award categories. Included in thosewas
a great number of very strong entries; so if
you didn’t make it on to the shortlist this time,
please don’t be put off entering again for the
awards in 2015.
The shortlist was decided at the judges’
meeting on February 4 in London. Wewould
like to thank their great efforts in helping to
make the IAPAs 2014 a fantastic event.
The independent and impartial judging
panel included: Andries Schouten, managing
director of HDWNederland andGunco; Craig
Paylor, former president of JLG and current
president/owner of U.S.-basedNational Truck
Body (NTB) Solutions; George Landsberg,
managing director and owner of South African
access equipment distribution company
