The HT67RTJ is also the first machine to
have the newHaulotte fullymodular basket
which allows the end user to replace only the
damaged component instead of changing the
entire basket.
“The HT67RTJ offers the power and
performance to handle rugged applications,
and itswide range of options enables
customization for top performance. Again, it’s
all about providing value to the customer,”
Duque said.
At ConExpo, Alexander Saubot, president
of Haulotte Group, said the company is not
interested in ‘super booms’.
“I don’t believe that we should spend that
muchmoney on that type of machine,” Saubot
said at ConExpo. “Wewill monitor howmany
they sell.”
Skyjack
Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack, said the
company is experiencing an increase in boom
sales and its overall share in themarket.
Speaking to
ALH
at ConExpo, Boehler said
Skyjack is currentlyworking on an 80-foot
articulated boom.
Before the 80-foot unit is debuted, Skyjack
will finishwork on a small articulated boom.
A number of Skyjack’s booms have been
quite busy lately, though. Rental company
Interstate Aerials used 50 Skyjack booms
recently to help build Amazon’s new 1million-
angled basis, which helps prevent fallen debris
from setting on themachine, and fixed angles
rather than oscillating. Customers canmost
likely expect more changes in the coming year
from the company, so stay tuned formore.

The 50 Skyjack booms, 20were bought
specifically for the Amazonwarehouse project
which included 30 SJ 66T telescopic booms
that were deployed to handle the bulk of the
workload because the SJ 66T can position
workers at aworking height of 72 feet and has
a platform capacity of up to 500 pounds.
Each boomwas customizedwith a 12,000W
three-phase generator sowelders could erect
the steel frame needed for the newwarehouse.
In addition to Skyjack’s telescopic booms,
Interstate Aerials usedmore than a dozen
other Skyjackmodels to help build the Amazon
warehouse, including the SJ 46AJ articulating
boom and a selection of Skyack’s RT scissors.
Snorkel
While Snorkel shapes up after Don Ahern
became itsmajority owner, the company’s
boom line could also see tweaks and updates.
Ahern told
ALH
it would be looking at the
very large boom segment over the next few
monthswith a view to potentially come upwith
a design. The emphasis, he said, would be
on outreach, rather than amaximumworking
height.
Snorkel, which displayed 14machines at
ConExpo, had a number of itsmid-sized RT
booms on display. The newly designed RT
booms feature an updated chassis on an
