The JLG1850SJ offers amaximum capacity
of 1,000pounds and extends to full height in
less than5minutes. The unit weighs a total of
60,300pounds requiring it to have a special
over-weight permit, but it does not require an
over-size transportationpermit.
The1850SJ includes a telescopic jib that
extends and retracts to provide additional
reach, up-and-over capability and the ability to
telescope into and around structures in a variety
of applications.
The unit also features a platform LCDdisplay
that showcases the operator’s position in
thework envelope and the communication
of service codes, engine status, fuel levels,
and othermessages assists the operator and
service providerwith operation, diagnosis, and
troubleshooting.
The boom lift is able to climbgrades of up to
40percent, features a2.8mphdrive speed, has
an inside turning radius of 7 feet, 7 incheswith
its axles extended, a52.8-gallon fuel tank and a
75.1gallonhydraulic tank.
The1850SJ is already inpre-production and
unitswill be ready to ship this spring.
JLG also introduced a new series of low level
access productswith the LiftPod FT140, initially
aimed at theU.S.market. Topping the LiftPod
range, it offers a platformheight if 14 feet and a
20-foot workingheight.
It was designed as an alternative to ladders
and scaffolding and offers an aircraft quality,
stowable telescoping aluminiummast, JLG says.
MECAERIALWORKPLATFORMS
introduced
a60-foot rough terrain scissor to competewith
European-producedmodels.
TheMEC6092RT is the largest scissor to be
manufactured inNorthAmerica and joins the
MEC ‘92’ Ultra-Deck rough terrain scissor lift
series. It is based on the existingMEC5492RT,
truck or a track carrier.
GENIE
, a Terex AerialWorkPlatforms brand,
showcased its 180-foot boom, a number of
telehandlers, but also a new69-inch-wide,
bi-energy (BE) hybrid rough terrain, electric
scissor lift.
TheGenieBE69models are the first RT, high
performance electric scissor lifts fromGenie
with an on-board integratedgenerator to charge
the batteries and supply power to the platform
and chassis. The newbi-energy hybrid scissor
lift series is available in26 foot, 33 foot and
40 footmodels. All units provide the ability to
drive at full height aswell as a five foot slide out
deck. TheGenieGS-2669BEhybrid scissor lift
provides a lift capacity of 1,500pounds.
The newGenieGS-2669, GS-3369 and
GS-4069BEhybrid scissor liftswill be available
in early secondquarter in all globalmarkets.
HAULOTTE
launched itsHT67RTJ telescopic
boom for theNorthAmericanmarket.
TheHT67RTJ, known as theHT23RTJ outside
theU.S., has a platformworkingheight of 67
feet, 5 inches and a horizontal outreach of 60
feet, 5 inches, which is about 3 feetmore than
industry standards, the company says.
Optional dual load capacity offers a lifting
capacity of up to1,000pounds, and a lifting
speed of just 56 seconds to full height.
Also displayed on theHaulotteGroup stand
was theHA130 JRT (HA41PX-NT) articulating
boom. Features include amaximum outreach of
65 feet, 4 inches andup to three simultaneous
andproportionalmovementswithnon-restricted
working area. Haulotte also displayed theHA51
JRT (HA41PX-NT) articulatingboom, 2668RT
(C12DX) compact diesel scissor, Optimum1930
E (Optimum8) &Compact 3947E (Compact 14)
electric scissors andStar 26J (Star 10) electric
verticalmast.
