eight years.
Etchartwill assume the
roleof senior vicepresident,
business development at

Manitowoc announcedon
6 January.

said the leadership changes are
in linewith the international
company’s long-term
successionplanningprocess.

Arkansas transportation officials have announced that themaximum allowableweight on a permitted
tandem-axle group combinationhas increased in the state from40,000 to46,000pounds (18.1 to21 tonnes).
In addition, driverswill be allowed to carry and display permits electronically on screenswith at least
seven-inch displays. Both changeswere approved inNovember by theArkansas legislature. “Weworked
closelywith theArkansasStateHighway and TransportationDepartment to attain the increase in tandem
allowance, whichwill tremendously benefit our association’smembers and their customers,” saidPaul Ross,
SC&RAPermit Policy Committee chairman andKeen Transport vice president,. “This commendable change
allows transportation to flowmore freely andmore efficiently along the critical north-south transportation
corridor from theMidwest toGulf State ports.”

theplanned retirement of
MarkBeffel, vicepresident,
operational excellence,
effective 2February. Josef
Matosevicwill assume the
roleof senior vicepresident of
global operational excellence
andwill lead the company’s
manufacturing, quality and
safety initiatives uponBeffel’s
retirement.

Tellock said.
