The tradeshow circuit starts each year with World of
Concrete, Jan. 20-24, the Las Vegas-based annual masonry-
focused exhibition.
ALH
provides a guide to the show.
F
rom telehandlers to scaffolding, World
of Concrete offers visitors an array of
new and exciting products, training and
educational opportunities.
This year World of Concrete will celebrate
40 years and is touting its more than 100
education sessions and forums for an expected
50,000 attendees.
“WOC 2014 will be an important event for
the industry. Attendees can find everything
they are looking for in one place — new
and innovative products, leading suppliers,
extensive education and training opportunities
while networking with their peers and enjoying
all that Las Vegas has to offer,” said Jackie
James, director, World of Concrete.
James also noted the 11th Annual “most
innovative products” contest that showcases
the best new products of 2014. Attendees
can browse product entries at participating
exhibitor booths and cast votes at the show
or online to determine the most “innovative
products of the year.”
For those walking the show aisles, the 2014
World of Concrete mobile app allows attendees
to quickly find exhibitors, seminars and events,
plus speaker information and more. The app is
free to download for iPhones, iPads, Android
devices and Blackberry devices.
While the crossover between World of
Concrete and ConExpo isn’t exceptional, new
product releases are being held at bay for many
of the companies at WoC. Below is a handful
of information that we could extract from
manufacturers, including new models from
Hydro Mobile and a rotating telehandler from
Manitou, amongst much more. Also, make sure
to stop by KHL’s booth (C4224) to pick up the
latest issues of our magazines.

HYDRO MOBILE (N1523)
will be using World
of Concrete as a springboard for some new
initiatives designed to raise performance levels
in the industry and create a new ethos within
its dealer network and an increased perception
of mast climbing work platforms in general, the
company says.
In addition to providing strong support for
the Scaffold and Access Industry Association
(SAIA), and taking an active role in the ANSI
committees for mast climbers and transport
platforms, Hydro Mobile has recently become
a member of the International Powered Access
Federation (IPAF) with the intention of providing
“comprehensive industry and manufacturer
training throughout its international and
domestic markets. This represents a major
commitment to increasing quality and training
levels within the industry,” Hyrdo Mobile says.
The company will be exhibiting a number of
products from its range and highlighting both
product improvements and new products. The
updated M2 and P ranges will be represented
at the show and Hydro Mobile will be
announcing the new S series.
Hydro Mobile equipment will also be present
at the Bricklayer 500 competition.
As always members of the Hydro Mobile
team, and its comprehensive distributor
network, will be on hand to answer questions,
the company says. "Hydro Mobile places great
emphasis on the local support provided through
its distribution and customer service, quality,
innovation and comprehensive industry training
will combine to present an industry-leading
support package to potential customers and
new distributors." The company will also be
highlighting its new website which will be
introduced in early 2014, featuring enhanced
access and assistance for customers and
Hydro Mobile, pictured here, will announce a
new S series at World of Concrete.
