CONEXPO REVIEW
deal with the major die-out of American Ash.
Electric innovation
Skyjack debuted a new electrically powered
rough terrain scissor, the SJ6832 RTE.The
company says it is the most compact machine
on the market that is capable of lifting 1000
pounds to 32 ft. It is also the only machine in
its category with four-wheel drive and 45%
gradeability as standard design.The zero-
emission scissor lift was built on the same
chassis as the existing diesel and dual fuel
68RT units.
“This decision allows those already familiar
with the highly popular traditionally-powered
68RT lifts to experience a seamless transition
to the RTE,” said Brad Boehler, Skyjack
president. The dual fuel units currently only
have 40 percent gradeability, making the new
electric scissor surpass its siblings’ performance
by 5%. It is the first Skyjack product to be
completely AC powered.

mph to 2 mph, an increase in platform capacity
from 440 pounds to 550 pounds and now
