TalbertManufacturing,
based in Rensselaer, IN, has
acquired Ferree Trailers. Ferree
Trailers is amanufacturer of
detachable, fixed and folding
gooseneck trailers. The
product range also includes a
number of specialty trailers.
The company has a 60,000
square foot facility in Liberty,
NC and a distribution center on
the East Coast. Andy Tanner,
Talbert president, said, “Ferree
is a strong complement to the
Talbert line. The acquisition
of Ferree Trailers provides us
with awider product offering
to serve our customer needs
and a large, state-of-the-art
manufacturing facility with
quality people that offers
tremendous opportunity.”

IronPlanet, an online
marketplace for buying and
selling used heavy equipment
and trucks, and Associated
Auction Services LLC, an
alliance of Caterpillar and
several of its independent Cat
dealers that operate under the
name of Cat Auction Services,
confirmed they have signed an
agreement tomerge the two
companies. Once combined,
IronPlanet and Cat Auction
Serviceswill provide buyers
and sellers of used heavy
construction equipment a
unique auction service.
Maxim Crane has 11 tower cranesworking at the Brickell City
Centre inMiami. The tower crane fleet includes a combination of
hammerhead, luffing jib and flat-topmodelsworking on the $1.05
billion project that spans four blocks andwill include both retail
and residential space.

655,000-poundgas turbine.
Combined, the14 components
