ICEF UPDATE
ICEF 2014 dates announced
F
ollowing a successful inaugural event in Amsterdam
in November, the second International Construction
Economic Forum (ICEF) will be held in London from
30 – 31 October, 2013. The venue will be the prestigious and
centrally located Gloucester Hotel.
This year’s event will retain many of the elements that made the
2013 conference and networking event a success. The day-and-a-
half conference programme will include CEO-level speakers from
the global construction sector, along with keynote speakers and
other industry experts.
In addition to formal presentations, a series of roundtable
discussions will be added to the programme, to provide a forum
for more informal discussions with speakers, and providing
delegates with more opportunities to ask questions.
In response to feedback from delegates to ICEF 2013, the
duration of the event has been shortened in response to time
pressures. However, there will be the same amount of conference
sessions as last year. At ICEF 2014, the programme will start
at lunchtime on October 30, with a full day on October 31,
providing a day-and-a-half of sessions with delegates needing to
only spend one night away, as opposed to two nights for the full
ICEF 2013 event.
As in 2013, a focal point of ICEF 2014 will be the Gala
Dinner, on the evening of October 30th. During this event, the
winners of the 2014 ICEF prizes will be announced, including
the prestigious International Construction Project of the year
award, which was won in 2013 by Brookfield Multiplex for the
JW Marriott Marquis hotel in Dubai, UAE.
The 2014 ICEF prizes will open for entry shortly, with details to
be announced at
