IMT rolls out new32
tm articulatingmodel
IowaMoldToolingCo. (IMT)
has introduced the 32 tm
capacity crane to its lineupof
articulating cranes ranging
from2.5 to80 tonmeters.
The IMT32/222was designed
with excellent strength
and reach, alongwithhigh
working speed andprecision
control, the company said.
Rated at 222,050 foot-pounds,
the crane features amaximum
lifting capacityof 15,058
pounds at a radius of 14 feet,
9 inches. The craneoffers
oneof the industry’s longest
horizontal reaches in the 30
tonmeter range: 69 feet 7
incheswith eight hydraulic
extensions.
Productivity-enhancing
features include thedual-
power plus link-arm system,
15-degreeoverbending,
continuous rotation and
a standard radio remote
control. The crane comes
standardwith theRCL (rated
capacity limiter) 5300 system
tomonitor loadmoment,
operation and function.
“At IMT,we’re committed to
helpingour customers become
moreproductive— and, as
a result,moreprofitable,”
said JohnField, IMTproduct
manager. “The32 crane
offers theperformance to
make loading andunloading
materialsmore efficient.
Operators canmove and
haulmorematerialswith this
crane,whichhas apositive
impact on thebottom line.”
Ultra-high tensile steel
constructionof thehexagonal
boomprovides a strong lift-
to-weight ratio, high lifting
capacity at long reaches and
increasedpayload capabilities,
the company said. TheRCL
systemmonitors the crane’s
loadmoment, operation
and function. In anoverload
situation, the systemwarns
theoperator and interrupts
thedistributionof oil for
crane functions,while
allowing functions that reduce
loadmoment to remain
operational. The 32 tm joins
the complete lineupof IMT
articulating cranes ranging
from the 18,085 foot-pound
model to the 516,440 foot-
poundmodel.
