New mid-range crawler
from Sany America
Sany America has launched
a mid-range crawler crane,
the Sany SCC8150. The crane
has a lift capacity of 165 tons,
and fills a strategic position
between Sany’s 110-ton
SCC8100 and the 220-ton
SCC8200, the company said.
The SCC8150 can be
configured with either a main
boom that reaches up to 269
feet or a fixed jib up to 102
feet. A fuel-efficient, 340-hp
(316 kW), Tier 4 interim-
certified Cummins engine
powers the crane, and a 325-
hp (242 kW), Tier 3 Cummins
engine also is available.
“The SCC8150 gives
contractors a new option
in a competitive segment
of the market,” said Kyle
Nape, Sany America.
“Our new crane delivers
a superior combination
of control, performance,
operator comfort, power and
dependability that meets and
exceeds the requirements for a
machine in this weight class.”
The crawler crane’s Porsche-
designed UltraCab 2 provides
operator comfort with
enhanced ergonomics, large
windows for clear visibility,
heat and air conditioning, and
well-placed function screens
and video monitors. Other
features include a boom-
elevation device, emergency
stop of all functions, two
externally mounted cameras
to monitor machine
operations, aircraft warning
light on the main boom and
“shove-off ” protection that
prevents the machine from
working unless the operator is
seated in the cab.
Sany hosts open house
at Peachtree facility
Sany America recently hosted customers and dealers at an open
house at its North American headquarters in Peachtree City, GA.
On display for the first time in the U.S. were the Sany SCC8150
crawler crane and the SRC885 rough-terrain crane.
Prospects and customers from Mexico to Ontario and dealers
from California to Quebec were on hand for the event, where they
had the opportunity to operate the new cranes and put them through their basic functions.
“We brought four customers to the Sany America open house, and we all had a great time,” said
Bill Hankins, crane sales specialist, Lyle Machinery, Richland, MS. “It was a first-class event that
demonstrated Sany’s commitment to the U.S. market. We’re very impressed with Sany’s investment
in product development and support. This gives customers and dealers a lot of confidence in the
company’s future here.”
