WHI Safeguard launches
scaffolding safety light

Power Climber, a division
of SafeWorks, LLC, in the USA,
has appointed Kris Verhelst
as international business
development manager. In this
role, Mr Verhelst is responsible
for managing and developing
the suspended scaffold
dealership network for Power
Climber’s European division.
Verhelst bringsmore than 15
years of international industrial
management experience to his
position. He is fluent in English,
Italian, Danish and German and
holds amasters degree in finance
from the University of Brussels.

and communication skillswill
undoubtedly benefit our expanding
customer base throughout
Europe,” commented Edwin
Holtkamp, director of sales for
SafeWorks International. “Kris
will be awelcomed addition to
our driven international team,
delivering the high quality products
and services our Power Climber
dealers have come to know.”
TheNASC, based in theUK,
has secured funding from the
Construction Industry Training
Board (CITB), enabling the
association to run its fourth
Qualifying TheWorkforce (QTW)
programme, starting in January
2015. This follows three successful
QTW programmes involving
NASCmembers in 2012-2014,
withmore than 200 operatives
qualified toCISRSScaffolder.
WHI Safeguardhas launched the
Scaffolding andBarrier Safety
Light designed for industrial sites.
The battery-operated light
fixture canbe fitted securely
andquickly to scaffolding and
other surfaceswith side or
vertical brackets.The photocell
light is activatedby darkness,
so the construction sitewill
automatically be litwhennatural
lighting is no longer sufficient.
The 360° amber light provides
30flashes perminute,withother
colours available on request.
WHI Safeguard alsooffers
the ScaffoldingBulkheadSafety
Light. It has side and vertical
bracket options, allowing it to
be fitted to awall or temporary
construction,or around
scaffolding. It is protected against
dust,water andother substances
often found at construction sites.
TheBulkhead light is easily
installedormovedwith the
mountingbrackets.
