hree years have flownby sine the
2012 editionof Intermat, and this
year’s largest construction equipment
exhibition is just around the corner.
Taking place from 20 to 25April at the
Paris-NordVillepinte inFrance, this 10th
edition of the show is set to take up 375000
m
2
of exhibition space, accommodating 1500
exhibitors.The 2012 exhibition attracted
over 200000 visitors,34.2% of whichwere
international – andnodoubt the organisers
will be looking tomatch or exceed these
figures this year.
The event is organisedbySE Intermat,
whichbrings together trade associations
CISMA (AssociationofEquipment
Manufacturers forConstruction, Infrastructure,
Steel andHandlingEquipment Industries)
andSEIMAT (Associationof International
Civil Engineering,Mining,Construction and
HoistingEquipment Industries) aswell as
event organiserComexposium.
The organisers said they had seen238new
brands register for the show, including the
comebacks ofManitowocCraneGroup and
Manitou, the latter joiningFayat,Haulotte and
Mecalec.
For the 2014 Intermat edition, a new
exhibition layout has been introduced – as
well as using the newHall 7, the showwill
also take up the outside demonstration areas
together withhalls 5A, 5B and 6; instead of
halls 3 and 4.
The access industry is set tobewell
represented,with a handful of companies
already announcingnewproducts.
“Intermat is an important event inour
industry’s calendar, andSkyjack’s presence this
year is particularly significant as an extensive
range of productswill be on show,”saidSkyjack
presidentBradBoehler.“It’s an excellent
opportunity for us to remindour potential and
existing customers of the units thatmake up
Skyjack’s range of simply reliable products.”
On the stand this yearwill be Skyjack’s
telescopic boom lifts including the newSJ 86T,
whichwillmake itsEuropeandebut at the

Isoli will share spacewithTimeFrance
andwill show the new21mPNT210 JH.
It is basedon the basedon the existing
PNT210 J andhas a 20.5mworkingheight,
a 250kgbasket and a 9.8moutreachwith
250kg,withoutriggers extended.Themodel
incorporates increasedworking area andmore
flexibility thanks to increased jib angle and
stabilisationmode that allows the operator to
work atmaximumoutreach andmaximum
heightwith120kg in the basketmode.The
PNT230 and the new telescopicPT160will
alsobe ondisplay.
Heavy duty
On theGeda standwill be unguided rope
hoists for scaffolders, theGedaMaxi 120S
andMaxi 150S.There are two lifting speeds,
anoverloadprotection and a slack rope switch
aswell as a variety of different load receptacles.

the two speedGedaFixlift 250 and the one
speedGedaLift 200will alsobe there.
From the telehandler sectorMerlo says it
may shownewproducts on the standbut it
cannot yet confirm the details.On showwill be
theRotoMCSS, aPanoramicwith stabilisers, a
compactmachine and a heavy duty unit.
