to deliver keynote speech
at IPAF Summit

the keynote speaker at
the IPAFSummit andhewill
explore emerging technologies
and their potential application
in the access industry under the
title “Gimmicks or theNext
Reality?”.The IPAFSummit will
be held on the same day as the
International Awards for Powered
Access (IAPAs) on 26March
2015 inWashington,DC,USA.
The IPAFSummit conference
attracts senior representatives
from the access industry around
theworld to discuss and debate
the latest technical, safety and
business developments in this
fast-growing sector.The theme
of the 2015 Summit is “New
Technologies andNewMarkets”.
The panel of speakers will
focus onhownew technologies
will change the face of the access
industry in the next five to ten
years and look at how existing
technologies are still battling to
open up newmarkets around the
world.
Speakers are being finalised,
andwill cover topics ranging
from a report fromBulgaria
on the battle to reclaim stolen
MEWPs, a presentation from
Turkey on the challenges of
opening newmarkets to new
technologies, and an update from
IPAF on the latest developments
in eLearning.
The full programmewill
be announced shortly.The
conferencewill be held in
English,with simultaneous
translation into Spanish.

The JLG EMEA (Europe, Middle
East and Asia) leadership team
across all functional areas of
the business has successfully
completed IPAF PAL Card operator
training on scissor lifts and boom
lifts.
More than 20 directors and
managers participated in IPAF
training courses that were
conducted at the JLGUK facility
inMiddleton and at the JLG
manufacturing facility in Belgium.
Office-basedmanagers, who do
not normally operate equipment in
the course of their jobs, took the
opportunity to better understand
the importance of operating
equipment safely, which is core to
the access business.

BV, said: “It is important to be
knowledgeable about operating
access equipment safely. We
have had the entire leadership
go through PAL training to raise
awareness levels onwhat must
be consideredwhileworking at
height, aswell as to reinforce
our commitment to safety as a
