California-based MEC Aerial Work Platforms will
display two scissor lift models at the show – an
updated electric Crossover ERT midsized rough
terrain scissor and the 4069 scissor lift.
The electric Crossover ERT is a four wheel drive RT
scissor lift that is available in lift heights of 8 m and
9.7 m. The machine’s drive system has been updated,
now coming with larger wheel motors that will offer
33% more torque, the company says.
The other machine MEC will be displaying is the
4069, which made its debut last year, a 12.2 m rough
terrain scissor that can be driven at full height.
The MEC 4069 is available as an electric version or
powered by a Kubota D1105.

products and will
announce the winner
of its Quest 2013 competition to find the
world's oldest operating Skyjack scissor.
Genie/Terex AWP will show a number of its aerial
work platforms and telehandlers, including the newly
upgraded Genie GTH-5519 compact telehandler,
featuring a Tier 4 Final engine.
Haulotte Group will have both its scaffolding and
aerial platform products, including the electric
vertical mast Star 22J, and the new HT67 RTJ
(HT23 RTJ) telescopic boom.
JLG Industries will show its wide range of equipment
options, from telehandlers to its LiftPod series, while
JCB will exhibit its newest telehandlers, the 516-42
Loadall and 525-60 Loadall. Look out for Tier 4 Final
telehandlers at Conexpo.
The Rental Show remains
the world’s biggest dedicated rental
event, and deserves a visit, even if it is eclipsed in
scale by Conexpo.
