Of course, the vast majority of the new
exhibitors are US suppliers, and these include Global
Prime Power, a company created in 2012 to market a
range of generator sets in the 20 to 409 kW range
Among the big name exhibitors, most are reserving
their big product launches for Conexpo-Con/Agg,
taking place little over a month later in Las Vegas.
That’s certainly true for the aerial platform sector.
It will still be an important show for Snorkel, the
Rental Show being its first big event since it came
under the ownership of Don Ahern and his Xtreme
Manufacturing business. The company is focusing
on its core product range, showing the S3970RT
compact rough terrain scissor in North America for
the first time. Other machines on display will include
the Snorkel A38E all-electric articulated boom and
the A46JRT rough terrain boom lift.
Man Lift Mfg. Co. specialises in modifying standard
access products for particular uses, such as spark-
free industrial sites. It will show its innovative
SHU product, a compact, vertical extension deck
attachment for scissor lifts.
The SHU is designed to replace existing extension
decks and other dangerous methods of getting extra
reach such as buckets, planks or standing on the mid-

t is an indication of the generally positive state
of the North American rental industry that the
Rental Show has sold out its exhibition space for
the second year in a row.
In Orlando in early February visitors will have a
choice of over 625 booths to visit, including 80 new or
returning exhibitors alone in the heavy construction
and general tool/homeowner sectors (see box below).
The activities of these companies reflect the full
spectrum of rental equipment and activity, from
rental software and finance providers to attachment
specialists, landscaping companies and – providing
a hint of things to come – several Chinese suppliers.

Liugong, which is an almost full-liner manufacturer,
