ESTAAwards
The first event for the crane
and transport industry in
2015 is theESTAAwards of
Excellence on23April at the
HiltonCharlesDeGaulle,
France. The event is organised
byKHLGrouponbehalf of
theEuropeanAssociationof
Abnormal RoadTransport and
MobileCranes (ESTA) andwill
beheldduring the Intermat
exhibition inParis, France.
The annual ESTAAwards
of Excellence brings together
crane andheavy transport
industryprofessionals.Over
the years it has developed
into themost prestigious
European event for all ESTA
members, affiliated companies,
endusers andmanufacturers.
Categories include crane job
of the year, transport, SPMT,
combined techniques and
innovation anddevelopment.
ESTAmay alsopresent the
GinoKosterAward. The
event offers opportunities to
meet andnetworkwith fellow
professionals throughout the
evening and after thedinner.
ITC
Next in the calendar is the
International TowerCranes
(ITC) conference, whichwill
beheld at theMillennium
Gloucester hotel inKensington
inLondon,UK, on27 and
28May 2015. The eventwill
havepresentations on topics
that include crane foundation
loads, theworldwide rental
market, operator access hoists,
Japanese luffing jib cranes
and attractingnew talent
to the industry. The event
will startwith anetworking
receptionon the evening
of 27May followedby a
conferenceprogramme on
the 28th. Speakers include
PhilippeCohet, chairman at
Arcomet;Heinz-GertKessel;
DaveHolder, director and
generalmanager atHTCPlant;
and Jean-CharlesDelplace,
business developmentmanager
at TrimbleNavigation. The
conference includes two
round-tablepanels: one on
tower crane foundation loads
and a secondonoperator
access hoists for tower cranes.
Lift &Move
The followingmonth,
the SpecializedCarriers
&RiggingAssociation
(SC&RA), KHLGroup and
theNational Commission
for theCertificationofCrane
Operators (NCCCO), will
jointlyholdLift&MoveUSA.
The event, organised in
co-operationwithSkillsUSA,
will beheld inChicago,USA,
on16 and17 June andwill
helppromote careers in theUS
crane, rigging and specialized
transportation industry.
During the two-day
programme, high school
students, stedents at
community and technical
colleges andotherswill be
providedwith advice on
careers and jobopportunities
workingwith crane rental
companies, specialized
transportationbusinesses and
equipmentmanufacturers.
An evening receptionwill
behosted at Imperial Crane,
which is supporting the event,
locatednear the venuehotel,
theChicagoMarriottMidway.
WCTS
Roundingout the yearwill
be theWorldCrane and
Transport Summit, tobeheld
on4 and5November, at the
GrandHotel Krasnapolsky
in central Amsterdam,
Netherlands. The event brings
together key stakeholders in
the lifting andheavy transport
industry. It includes a two-day
conference and a galadinner
on the eveningof the 4th.
