vibratormonitoring systems atWorld of Concrete.
Besides standardproducts, the companywill have its dedicated
gas-leak detection drill, The Hornet, on display. This provides
an innovative and ergonomic alternative to hand drilling
gas-leak detection holes in roadways above gas mains and is
designed for use by municipalities and contractors who work
onmunicipal projects.TheHornet isolates the vibration to the
machine, which minimises operator fatigue. Furthermore, the
operator can stand in an upright positionwhile drilling, which
helps prevent lower back injuries.
Also on showwill be machine-mounted units, like the A-2V
and H5, which can be mounted on excavator or backhoe
loader booms for dowel pin drill work in repair and patching
operations.
Brokk will be showing the upgraded version of its Brokk
400 remote-controlled electric demolition machine. New
features include a larger undercarriage for heavy-dutywork and
enhanced stabilitywhen operatingwithheavy attachments.The
hydraulic system has also been improved for greater efficiency
andmore consistent power.
The newmodel can handle attachments up to 1,420 lbs (645
kg) and it has a hydraulic quick-hitch system for fast changes.
The boom is a three-piece design offering 22 ft (6.7 m) of
horizontal reach and 24 ft (7.3m) of vertical reach.
Itweighs in at 11,240 lbs (5.1 tonnes) and is 63 inches (1.6m)
wide and 81 inches (2.06m) tall, which is slightly bigger than
the model it replaces. However, Brokk says this still makes it
compact enough towork inmany combined spaces.
E-ZDrill’s standwill feature its range of 210drill attachments
for dowel rod hole drilling. The three models available are the
three-gang 210-3 EQMT, four-gang 210-4 EQMT and five-
gang210-5EQMT and the company says they compatiblewith
mostmodels of backhoe loader and excavator.
Aimed at full-depth road repair and patching projects, the
models feature a control panel mounted on the drill to provide
convenient operation from the ground. The units are capable of
drilling 5/8- to 2-1/2-inch (16 to 64mm) diameter holes, to a
depth of 18 inches (457mm).
The units feature a side-shift control whichmeans the carrier
operator does not need to position the unit in the exact drilling
location – it can just be positioned in roughly the right area,
with fine adjustment being carried out using a toggle switch on
the control panel. This canmean two sets of holes canbe drilled
without having to reposition the entire drill and carrier.
Decko Products will show its new Power AssistWheelbarrow
(PAW), the Pro PAW. This offers 300 lbs (136 kg) of capacity
and comeswith a24V, battery-operated two-wheel drive system
to allow such heavy loads to be moved and manoeuvred. The
company says that with this system, the 6 ft
3
(170 l) tub and
steel frame can be taken up inclines as steep as 15° fully loaded.
Control is via a simple pushbutton and forward/reverse
switch, and the forward gear offers a ‘powerburst’ function to
help tackle steep hills or other difficult ground. The unit comes
fitted on 15 inch (380mm) tyres and a charger is included for
the dual 21V battery system.
CSUnitec’s newMegaHippo PMH 80F-RL portablemixing
station features an integrated dust extraction port connected
to an industrial vacuum. The mixer features a removable liner
and rimless bucket systemwhichmeans consecutive batches of
differentmaterials canbemixedwithout downtime for cleaning
the bucket or risking contamination. Alternating liners allows
mixingwithout cross contamination.
The company says the 15 A, 1.8 kW, two-speedmotor makes
