Ahighlight on show from engine and
power trainmanufacturer FPT Industrial
will be theCursor 16 engine. The 13 litre
engine is designed for large construction
andmaterial handling equipment,
including cranes andwheel loaders. It
is compliant toTier 4Final/Stage IV
emissions standards andoffers power
outputs of up to570kWwithmaximum
torqueof 3,320Nm at 1,500min
-1
in its
single stage version.
TheCursor 16 is the first FPT engine to
have a cylinderhead that is cast in compact
graphite iron (CGI).
Goldhofer
Manufacturer of specialized transport
equipmentGoldhoferwill showcase low
loader semi trailers equippedwith the
MPAAxleTechnology (pictured above)
lightweight suspension system. Itwas
developedwith axle and suspension
specialist BPW, hydraulic cylinder
companyNeumeister, andHeyd, a
manufacturer of ball joints, links and
other parts. Features include a 60degree
steering angle, 350mm suspension
stroke and aminimum loadingheight
of 780mm.
Goldhofer has extended theMPA
range to include theMPA-V, adrop-deck
versionwith removable gooseneck, and
theMPA-Kwith a choice of goosenecks
and front and rear bogies. In addition to
thenew suspension system, Goldhoferwill
also showcase aTHP/SLmodular vehicle.

On show fromKobelcowill be the
250 tonne capacityCKE2500G (pictured
above) and135 tonne capacityCKE1350G.
The 135 tonner is sold toQCrane&Plant
HireLtd in theUK. Features include a full
hydraulicoperating system right from the
joysticks,with closed circuits andboom
sections that canbeput inside eachother.
G-series features includemaximumwinch
speed available even at low engine rpm
and an idle stop function. TheEuroStage
IIIB / EPATier 4i engine reduces fuel
Atlas
Fromhydraulic truckmounted crane
manufacturerAtlas are twonewmodels,
anew radio remote control systemanda
new stability safety system. First of thenew
cranes is theAK440.2,whichhas a three-
fold extensionanda1 tonne capacityat its
maximum reachof 22metres. It has a large
slewing torque andon-the-spot slewing
movements, a supportwidthof 7.4mand
stabilisers areofferedas standard, fixed
or vertical.
Alsonew fromAtlas is the206.3,which
comes invariants fromA2andA8 (number
of hydraulic extensions). Safeworking load
is 450kgat itsmaximum reachof just less
than21m. Themodel is availablewith
various control options and supportwidths
up to7.4m.
ThenewAtlas /Ahmeko stability
control system isdesigned toguarantee the
stabilityof a truckmountedwitha loader
crane. Fourultrasonic sensorsmounted
on the truck’s axlesmeasuredistance to
thegroundandwhenone changes the
crane is stoppedautomatically. The load
on thevehicle andany counterweight are
automatically taken intoaccount. It is a
simple and reliable systemand isdesigned
toworkwithall loader cranes.
