the LenLyeArt centre inNew
Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand.
The cranes are owned byNew
Zealand company TitanCranes.
Tasks for the all terrains included
lifting a 35 tonne concrete beam,
whichhad to be placed upright
and then lifted onto a trailer.
TheAC 350/6was fittedwith
116.7 tonnes of counterweight to
carry out the job.

general sales director. Inhis
new role, Reckmannwill be
responsible for bothGerman
and international sales for
mobileweighing systems.
Reckmann takes over from
previous sales director

, who left the company
inSeptember. “Reckmann is a
mechanical engineer and brings
experience fromhis previous
activities,” a spokesperson said.
“He has extensive knowledge
of constructionmachinery and
inmechanical engineering
aswell as the
material handling.”

steps down on 31 January 2015.
Parkes, a former director at
Finning, UK took
over at Hewden
in2009, leading
the business after
the sale to private
equity company SunEuropean
Partners. KevinParkes said, “It
has beenmy pleasure to lead
Hewden over the past six years,
through challenging timeswe
have radically reorganised and
rebuilt the business, relentlessly
executing our strategy so
Hewden is best placed to take
advantage of the recovering
market. I wishHewdenwell
as they transition in time to a
new leader. Aprocess I will
fully support over the coming
months.” Hewden said a further
announcement was expected in
theNew Year.

Cronie started
his career in the
crane industry
in the late 1980s and has been
associatedwithmany training
and industry organisations and
work groups over the years,
includingCITB, ESTA and CPA.
Cronie hasworked at several
crane companies, including
Baldwins andAinscough in
theUK, but has spentmost of
his timewithMammoet, firstly
based in theMammoet head
office in theNetherlands, and
more recently inSingapore as
theAPAC regional safety
director. Cronie retired in
December 2014. His role has
been taken over by
KALSOM
OMAR,
Mammoet APAC regional
safetymanager.
