has an overload control feature.
Another operator aid offered by Lift
Systems is the Laser Height and Level
Indicating System. “The system is a

potential load weighing capacities of
thousands of tons.”
Enerpac hydraulic gantry cranes have
a mechanical lift lock that automatically
holds the load in place during the entire
process. “The hydraulic cylinders also

developed as an operator aid for existing
systems,” Forster explains, “It allows the
operator to know if lifting beams are level
and the extension of jacks without the need
for tape measures or other operator aids.”
The system has an LED display with
a rechargeable battery, bi-directional
sensors to measure the level and four
lasers to measure height. It also includes
30 m moulded cables for maximum reach,
waterproof sensors and a water resistant
display. It has magnetic bases and can be
used on any hydraulic gantry system.
New to the market
Enerpac offers five standard models in
two series. The SL series has 2-stage lifting
cylinders. The heavy duty SBL series offers
lifting capacity up to 1,000 tonnes and has
3-stage lifting cylinders providing up to 12
m of lift. “Gantries are self-propelled along
tracks, allowing for maximum control,” a
company spokesperson adds, “The gantries
also maintain the same holding volume
and capacity over their entire lifetime.”
Enerpac gantries are designed to meet the
ASME B30.1 Overhead and Gantry Cranes
Standard.
From Lift Systems, several products and
concepts are in development, Forster says,
however, details will be released when final
testing is complete.
