From the
FALCON
line, at the ReachMaster
booth, is an updated version of the FS105-Z.
The combination of an articulating lower
section with a telescoping upper boom and
jib has proven to be popular in many outdoor
applications, says ReachMaster. It will include
a new remote control system that will be
available on all Falcons in the future.
ReachMaster will also show a new model
from Winlet, the glass and window handler,
that allows one person to pick up, carry and
install windows up to 1310 lbs.
RUTHMANN
will be at Conexpo with its North
American sales and service partner Time
Manufacturing Company in the outside area.
They will be presenting a Ruthmann
T 175A mounted onto a Freightliner 4-axle
chassis.
The T 175 A is a kit version of the Height
Performance Steiger T 540.The picture shows
the T 175A mounted onto a Freightliner
3-axle chassis – which Time presented at the
ICUEE trade show in Louisville, Kentucky in
October 2013.
SKYJACK
will unveil a new rough terrain
scissor lift and updated Tier 4i telehandlers at
the show.
The new SJ6832 RTE electric rough-
terrain scissor lift allows users to “easily
switch between indoor and outdoor use while
its emission-free operation makes it well-
suited to projects, regions or countries where
machinery pollution restrictions are in place,”
a spokesman said.
To simplify operator and service training,
the SJ6832 RTE was built on the same chassis
as the existing diesel and dual fuel SJ6832 RT
units.
From the telehandler line, the
updated ZB2044 will feature a Tier 4i engine.
The maximum capacity 20000-pound (9072
kg) telehandler features a three-section boom
and a maximum lifting height of 44 feet
(13.67 m).The ZB2044 will be joined by the
VR1056 telehandler, which is also now Tier
4i compliant.The VR1056 has a maximum
payload of 10000 pounds (4540 kg) and a
maximum lift height of 56 feet (17.14 m).
Visitors on the
SNORKEL/XTREME
stand at
ConExpo can expect a range of equipment
from both manufacturers, including new
large-capacity telehandlers from Xtreme
and new and updated or revamped Snorkel
models.
SNORKEL
will launch a new series of
telehandlers, just months after Xtreme
Manufacturing took majority ownership of
the AWP manufacturer.
Aimed to compete with popular telehandler
products currently manufactured by Genie,
JLG and Manitou and others, the Snorkel
line will feature units in the 5900 pound to
12000 pound capacity range.The first series
will be aimed at the North American market
with a production date goal of April 2014,
while a global series will be on the market
in September. Specifications and other
information are still being completed.
XTREME MANUFACTURING
will debut its largest-
capacity telehandler at the show.The 65000
pound capacity telehandler will weigh 95000
pounds and is designed for work on bridges
and pipe-handling, Don Ahern, Xtreme
owner told

On the other end of the spectrum, Xtreme
will also debut its most compact telehandler,
the XR5919, that features 5900 pounds of
capacity, 19 feet of lift height and 63 hp.
The unit is being produced to compete with
smaller telehandlers currently on the market.
When both debut at ConExpo, Xtreme will
complete its range, totalling 15 models. “The
forks on the new unit weigh 2000 pounds
each,”Mr Ahern said.
Mr Ahern that added a complete new series
of aerial work platforms featuring “never-
before-seen technology” will also be on the
stand.
Snorkel is also displaying machines from
its existing product categories, including the
A46JRT articulating rough terrain boom;
A38E all-electric articulating boom; Speed
Level rough terrain lift; and M1230E self-
propelled mast lift.
TEREX AWP
will showcase a comprehensive
range of products and services.
Genie branded products will include the
Genie SX-180 telescopic boom, the Genie
GS-4069 bi-energy hybrid scissor lift, the
Genie GTH-1544 telehandler and more.
Now in production, the Genie SX-180
boom has a platform height of 180 feet and
can be driven at full height.The stowed length
shrinks it down to 47 ft and the retracted
width to 98 inches making it transportable
without special over-width permits.The lift
capacity is 750 lbs.
The boom is suited for applications in
the oil and gas industries, commercial
construction, industrial construction and
maintenance, wind farm applications, power
stations and utilities and large metropolitan
cities that require work at height.
The new Genie GS-4069 bi-energy hybrid
scissor lift will also be on display. As part of
the new Genie BE69 hybrid scissor lift series,
it features two selectable operating modes.
TEUPEN
has new North American
nomenclature for its LEO series. Shown here

At Conexpo, German tracked lift specialist
Teupen will introduce a new nomenclature
for its LEO series to better suit the North
American market.
For example, the new 21m model,
introduced as LEO21GT in Europe, will be
named TL63A , which equates to: tracked
Lift - 63 ft platform height - articulated.
The new model features an outreach of
39 feet (12m) at 551lbs (250kg) basket
load in the entire working area, along with a
stabilising system which allows setting up the
lift on slopes of up to 30%.
Along with the new TL63A, Teupen will
also introduce the 2014 version of existing
models of the LEO series, now also re-
branded under the new naming system.
