he programme for June’s three-day
European Rental Association (ERA)
Convention in Amsterdam, the Netherlands,
has revealed an event packed with high-profile
speakers andpresentations.
Takingplace from 24 to 26 June at theAmsterdam
RAI Exhibition Centre, the first day of the ERA
Convention will feature a CEO and leadership panel
discussing the challenges and opportunities facing
the equipment rental market.
Senior figures from the global rental industry are
scheduled to takepart in thepanel, includingUnited
Rentals CEO Michael Kneeland, Loxam CEO Gérard
Déprez, Cramo CEO Vesa Koivula, Volker Stevin
Materieel COO Derrick Golden, and Hilti regional
head for Northern EuropeGareth Lewis.
Meanwhile, themain theme of the ERAConvention
is ‘Internet as a Game Changer’. Guest speaker
Richard Robinson, director at internet giant Google,
will address delegates on the third day of the event
– a high-profile speech that looks set to be another
highlight.
The ERA Conventionwill also include a roundtable
discussion on the morning of 25 June about what
the industry can learn from Japan. Xiaoming
Cheng, boardmember from the Japan Construction
Equipment Rental Association, will take part.
A second roundtable is also scheduled for that
morning on the theme of yield management, with
speakers includingUnited Rentals CFO Bill Plummer,
EricHills from price optimisation software company
Zilliant, andAnn-CharlotteÅgren, Financialmanager
at Cramo Sweden.
