Skyjack is unveiling theSJ86T telescopic
boom and showcasing its full line of aerial work
platforms at TheRental Show.
“TheSJ86T is the latest in a line of boom
products Skyjack has brought tomarket in
recent years,” saidMalcolmEarly, Skyjack’s
vice president ofmarketing. “While it is far from
the last boom lift wewill introduce, it represents
amilestone as amuch asked for additionby our
customers.”
The newSJ86Thelpsmeet increasing
customer demand in the rental industrywith its
higher capacity andgreater reach. Twomodels
will be available inNorthAmerica: a telescopic-
onlymodel with a platformheight of 82 feet and
amodel with a jib, featuring a platformheight
of 86 feet. Full details on theSJ86Twill be
released at TheRental Show.
In addition to the new telescopic boom,
Skyjackwill be showcasing theSJ63AJ
articulatingboom, which features a unique
open-center knuckle riser design for improved
visibility.
From its verticalmast lift line, Skyjackwill
be showcasing theSJ 12 andSJ 16. Their
lightweight designprovides lowgroundpressure
and floor loading, a zero-degree inside turning
radius and a traversingplatform for added
reach.
ThreeDC electric scissor lifts, SJIII 3219, SJIII
3226 andSJIII 4632, will be displayed at the
stand. The electric scissor lifts are quiet with
zero emissions and able towork in the tightest
of spaces, helping tomake these theworld’s
top-selling aerial work platforms.
From the rough-terrain scissor lift line, Skyjack
will showcaseSJ6832RTE andSJ9250RT. The
SJ 6832RTE electric rough-terrain scissor lift is
the onlymachine in its categorywith45percent
gradeability and four-wheel drive as standard.
TheRTEprovides enduserswith a zero-
emission scissor lift that comeswith the low
running costs andhighuptime customers expect
fromSkyjack’s “simply reliable” AWPdesign
philosophy. TheSJ9250RT, full-size rough
terrain scissor lift, offers highwork heights and
heavy duty capacities.
Visitors can also expect Skyjack to tout its
Skycoded controls system. “At the heart of
every Skyjackmachine, proven and simplistic
control systems usingSkyjack’s color coded and
numberedwiring systemmake ourmachines
the easiest to troubleshoot and repair,” says
Early. Black#14 is for the lift function on a3219,
and it is lift on a63AJ. Using an analog-based
control system such as Skycoded allows Skyjack
AWPs to operate using a simplified systemwith
fewer and less expensive components, the
company says.
Also featuredwill be theAXLDrive system.
Skyjack’smechanical “axle based” drive system
gives positive traction andgood terrainability,
the company says. This is achievedusing an
automatic lockingdifferential on the back axle
andnon-spin and limited slip front differential on
the front axle. Thismeansmachines can climb
grades of up to30percent in the case of RT
scissors, 45percent for articulatingbooms and
50percent in the case of telescopic boom lifts.

Snorkel will showcase its range of industrial
aerial lifts, includingpush-aroundmast lifts,
electric slab scissors and articulatedboom lifts.

Including the newTL54AJ and a Lithium Ion
Power System for its line of compact track
lifts. Beginning in the first quarter of this year,
Teupenwill offer the new54-foot platform
height (60-foot workingheight)machine and the
option of lithiumpower on the followingmodels:
TL44; 51; 54; 63 and69.
The TL54AJ, with its 54-foot platformheight
and32-inchwidth, is introduced as Teupen’s
largest “single door” accessmachine. This
machine features an independently controlled
jib; a28-foot side reach; andheight andwidth
adjustable tracks. The TL54AJ’s power comes
from aKubota Z602 - 14.5hpdiesel engine
with a secondary electricmotor poweredby an
115V/20 amp electric service. As an option,
themachine canbe orderedwithTeupen’s new
Lithium IonBattery Pack (details below).
Other key features of the TL54AJ include:
Cable remote control with completemachine
control; Outrigger design to allow improved
slope stabilization to21percent;Manual
height andwidth adjustable tracks; 440-pound
unrestrictedbasket capacity; andwhite, non-
marking tracks as standard.
