“Teupen is excited about the properties
of the lithium-ionbattery – especiallywhen
comparison to leadbatteries,”Reynolds says.
“Excitement is primarily because the Lithium-
ionbattery is voltage-stable. In otherwords, it
consistently provides full power throughout the
duration of use until shortly before reaching the
discharge state. Additionally, efficiency is gained
because recharging or equalization charging of
the battery after the actual chargingprocess is
not necessary to protect the battery. This saves
energy. Finally, this battery canbe chargedmore
quickly thus reducing the downtime of workers
andmore available operatinghours for the
machine.”
