AmQuip inks big Terex
buy, including Superlift
The tallest crane atConExpo
is headed for Pennsylvania-
basedAmQuip. The company
recently inked a bigorder
withTerex that included the
716-ton capacity Superlift
3800 and24RT555-1 rough
terrain cranes.
“We organizedour team
of crawler experts, fleet
managers, andproject
principals to review all of
the cranes available in this
class,” saidAl Bove, COOof
AmQuip. “After a lengthy and
well thought throughprocess
our teamunanimously
decided that the 3800was
overall the best crane offered
in this class.”
AmQuippurchased the
cranewith the luffing jib and
mobile counterweightwagon.
“Withprojectwork
increasing, AmQuipwanted
to set itself apart from
the competition,” said Jon
Capuzzi, AmQuip chief
product officer. “Knowing
Terex’s product is proven;
AmQuip’s teamdecided
that purchasing the SL3800
will be a solution for
AmQuip customer’s lifting
requirements.”
AmQuip expects touse
thenewRTs at general
construction jobsites and in
the petrochemical sector.

to fleet
ALL Erection andCrane
Rental has added a third
45-ton capacity Liebherr LTC
1045-3.1 to its fleet. Known
as a “city crane,” the unit is
different than a typical all
terrain crane because it has
only one cab.
“We received our first city
crane inMay 2013, and
our operators loved it,” said
Michael Liptak, president of
theALL Family of Companies.”
