Paris launches
Wirtgen's paver arm,
Vögele
, will focus on Super 1800-3i
SprayJetmodel. This latest paver sees the sprayoption integrated
into the ErgoPlus 3 control system, although it remains a
modular systemwhich can be removed to leave a conventiaonal
paver. The paver has a maximum spray width of 6m. As a
conventional paver without spray function it can pave widths
of up to 9m.
The insulated emulsion tanknowhas a capacity of 2,100 litres
and the integrated electric heating ensures that the emulsion is
reliablymaintained at the ideal temperature for spraying.
The Super 1800-3i SprayJet is equipped
with five spray bars. The front spray bar
hassixspraynozzlesand is locatedbetween
themachine’s crawler tracks, right behind
the push-rollers. An articulated spray bar
installed on each side of the paver comes
with seven nozzles on each side, while
a short spray bar with two nozzles is
provided right behind each crawler track.
Vögele said this arrangement of the spray
bars allowed full coverage of the existing
surface with emulsion, even when the
pavewidth varies.
Having been incorporated into the
Wirtgen Group’s mineral technologies
business sector, asphalt plant maker
Benninghoven
will be making its first
appearance at Intermat as part of the
group, and its new BBM 1250 mobile
batch plant will be on show.
Benninghoven said the complete plant technology for
producing high-quality asphalt was mounted on five chassis.
With amixing capacity of 100 tonnes/h, the BBM 1250 claims
quick and easy installation as well as rapid changes of location.
Meanwhile, Fayat’s
Marini
subsidiary will introduce a new
asphalt mixer designed to handle large quantities of recycled
aspahlt pavement (RAP) as well as more traditional mixes. A
focusof thenew six tonneperbatchunit is thecontrol of internal
emissions, which can reduce the quality of the finished aspahlt,
and maintaining rpodcution rates, even though it traditionally
takesmoremixing time to incorporateRAP.
Marini-Ermont
will introduce the RF 160Neo, the latest in a
rangeofnew-generation continuousmixasphaltplants, covering
the 80 to 160 tonnes per hour production classes. It features a
counterflow dryer drummixer, which means up to 50% RAP
canbe incorporated intomixes, and the plant is alsodesigned to
be easy to transport.
Fayat’s
SAE
subsidiarymeanwhile will introduce the Packliner
Compact continuous asphalt plant for cold mixes. With an
output range of 50 to 200 tonnes per hour, the standard unit
comeswith two feedbins, and a third canbe added as anoption.
Fayat’s road building equipment subsidiary
Bomag
will have a
variety of newmachines on show. Its latest coldmillingmachine
is the 2.2mworking width BM 2000/75. In fact the machine
has a variable milling width from 2.0 m to 2.2 m, thanks to
Bomag’s Powerdrum.
Tools canbe changequickly thanks toBomag’sBMS15,which
reduces downtime, as the picks can simply be knockedout from
behind. The machine also has an integrated dust extraction
system.
In terms of pavers, Bomag is introducing models to Europe
that it added to its range when it acquiredTerex’s road building
equipment businesses. The newmodel at Intermat will be the
BF 600-2, alongwith the BF 223CundBF 300Pmini pavers.
Bomag’s new articulated tandem rollers are the BW 191 and
BW206,which extend the existing rangeupwardswith a12 and
16 tonnemodel.Designed for thick layers and static compaction

Marini-Ermont will introduce the RF 160
Neo, the latest in a range of new-generation
continuousmix asphalt plants.
The QuickBatch is a new asphalt plant
