Chimney update
A Tel Aviv power station is getting a
makeover with the help of six SC 4000
Scanclimber mast climbing platforms.The
mast climbers are being used by contractor
Chemo Corporation to repair the plant’s
147 m high concrete chimney, including the
application of a new protective coating, and
to install decoration lighting rigs at the top
and mid-points of the chimney. Workers can
walk freely between adjacent platforms. Limit

Space age access
Aerial Access in the UK has supplied a special
platform to the European Space Agency
for use at its satellite testing centre in the
Netherlands.The Kwiklift K22T platform
meets clean room
specifications, has
grease free bearings,
leak free ‘O’ rings no
hydraulic fittings, and
only natural rubber
hoses, and is mounted
on a powered bogie
hydraulic nosewheel
steering. Maximum
working height is 21
m, while outreach is
12.4 m.
