Olaf joined Riwal in late 2014 as country manager for its operation in the Netherlands and Belgium. Riwal is Europe’s largest specialist aerial platform rental business, with operations in 13 countries and the fourth largest access fleet in Europe with almost 14,000 machine. It is the largest specialist access rental company in Europe.

 

In November 2015 he was appointed Group Commercial director of Riwal, one of the senior executive team, responsible for leading and managing global rental and sales and marketing for the Riwal Group.

 

Before joining Riwal, Olaf had an 11 year career with Pon Equipment, the Caterpillar dealer in the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, running both equipment sales and rental operations. During his time at Pon he rose to become Vice President and Managing Director of Pon Equipment in Sweden and Denmark. Before that he was managing Director of Pon Equipment in Denmark and Commercial Director of Pen Equipment in the Netherlands.

 

Olaf is also founder and owner of STERK Investments BV, an Amsterdam company that invests in start-ups and entrepreneurs.
