PhilippeCohet, chairmanofArcomet.
Cohetwill usehis keynote speech to
investigate the value created in the tower

the rewards fully reflect the technical

Cohet told

that his experience
in tower cranemanufacturingwith
Manitowoc andhismore recentwork in
tower crane rental hadgivenhim exposure
to the value thatmanufacturers canbring
in terms of technical innovation, and the
value that rental companies provide in
offering safe andproductivework tools.
“Endusers are still looking atwhat
value tower cranes canprovideon their
sites, in terms of productivity, safety, and
withbigger, taller cranes, yetmaintaining
their reliability”, saidCohetwho, in
addition tohis role atArcomet, is also
president of French tower crane rental firm
Matebat. (Arcomet andMatebat share the
samemajorityowners.)
“It is abit of aparadox”, he said, “there
are still a lot of valueopportunities – tower
cranes are very important to endusers –
but there is perhaps less value created for
rental companies and cranemanufacturers
than inother industries.”
