Mayr appointed
president of Liebherr
Construction Equip.
Liebherr has
appointed Peter
Mayr as president of
Liebherr Construction
Equipment Co.,
effective July 1, 2013.
Mayr has held
progressive leading positions
within the Liebherr Group,
most recently serving as
managing director for
Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd.
(LGB) and Liebherr Rental Ltd
(LRL).
He began his Liebherr
career in 2001 working at
Liebherr-Werk Telfs GmbH
(LWT) in Austria where he
was responsible for the sales
support of dozers
and crawler loaders
in Spain. He was
transferred to England and
was responsible for dozers
and crawler loaders in
Great Britain and Ireland.
From these positions he
was promoted to national
sales manager, LGB for all
earthmoving products then
progressed to general manager,
Earthmoving machines,
LGB and LRL, and later to
managing director.

Jeff Carpenter
has
been named vice president of
operations for Omega Morgan.
Carpenter previously was vice
president of global operations
for Brooks Automation. He
has a BSBA in management
from the University of
Massachusetts and served in
the submarine service of the
U.S. Navy.
Konecranes, a manufacturer
of overhead cranes and lifting
equipment, announced that
Bobby Birdwell
from Bird
Equipment,
Wes Mullen
from Felman Production and
Timothy Burns
from
Helken Corporation have
won prizes in the company’s
“We Have Something New”
sweepstakes. As part of a
promotion for its brand-new
CLX electric chain hoist,
Konecranes gave away a variety
of electronics prizes, including
a Samsung 46-inch Smart
TV, won by Birdwell, an Apple
iPad 16 GB with WiFi, won
by Mullen, and an Apple iPad
mini 16 GB with WiFi, won by
Burns.

to the role
of national sales manager
of the U.S. Ferchen will be
responsible for coordinating
Crosby sales activity as it
relates to the U.S.-based sales
team and distribution partners.

as managing director of its
client solutions group. “Lou’s
longstanding relationships
with the vehicle manufactures
coupled with his deep

Rick Myers joins
Talbert Manufacturing
Talbert Manufacturing has appointed Rick Myers
as its director of materials.
In his new role, Myers is responsible for
deliveries, material purchases, warranty
fulfillment and aftermarket parts for the heavy-
haul trailer manufacturer. He also is responsible
for budgets, employee training and planning in
those areas.
Myers brings to Talbert 28 years of operations
experience. Prior to joining he was operations
and purchasing manager at Jost International,
a global manufacturer of fifth wheels, landing gears, kingpins and
other trucking-related products.
Art P. Kirkner joins NBIS as VP
NationsBuilders Insurance
Services, Inc., a specialty
construction insurance and a
portfolio company of SunTx
Capital Partners, has appointed
Arthur “Art” P. Kirkner as vice
president, claims.
Kirkner is responsible for
auditing claim files to ensure
that claims handling complies
with processes, procedures
and contracts. He manages
the commercial and residential
claims teams to ensure that
claims are responded to per
DOI guidelines, maintain
compliance and address non-
compliance issues. Kirkner
will also develop strategy
for the claims function,
provide coaching/training
and guidance in claims
handling while auditing files
for compliance with payments
for the litigation and claims
management guidelines, along
with review, identify and
implement improvements to
claim procedures and policies
as needed, the company said.
Kirkner joins NBIS from
Insurance Corporation of
Peter Mayr, president
of Liebherr Construction
Equipment Co.
Rick Myers has
joined Talbert
Manufacturing.
British Columbia, where he
was vice president, claims
field services. He streamlined
processes, achieving a 10.6
percent increase in employee
productivity, as measured by
claims handled per person.
He also achieved an 8 percent
decrease in operating budget
along with reducing the legal
and allocated expense by 35
percent. He holds a bachelor’s
degree in Sociology from
Temple University and comes
to NBIS with over 30 years of
claims experience.
