conference coverage
Wide-ranging news from Chinese construction

HL’s editorial team was out in force at October’s BICES construction
equipment exhibition in Beijing, China, as well as the International
Rental Conference which took place the day before.
Coverage of both events, including market analysis, details of new product

A record 1,500 exhibitors registered for the BICES exhibition, which took
place from 15 to 18 October at the Jiu Hua International Exhibition Center.
As one of the two leading shows for the Chinese construction equipment

Meanwhile, nearly 300 industry professionals attended the first International
Rental Conference China at the Swissotel in central Beijing. The keynote
speaker at the event was Michael Kneeland, CEO of United Rentals. Other
speakers included David Phillips, managing director of OffHighway Research,
Gerard Deprez, president of Loxam, Jay Early, vice president, Europe/China
for Hertz Equipment Rental Co, Bud Howard, global rental
director at Volvo Rents and Nick Sowden, president at Snorkel
Asia).
