FrankNerenhausen, president of
JLG, is the keynote speaker at the
IPAF Summit and hewill explore
emerging technologies and their
potential application in the access
industry under the title “Gimmicks
or theNext Reality?”. The IPAF
Summit will be held on the same
day as the International Awards
for Powered Access (IAPAs) on
March, 26 2015 inWashington,
DC.
The IPAF Summit conference
attracts senior representatives
from the access industry around
theworld to discuss and debate
the latest technical, safety and
business developments in this
fast-growing sector. The theme
of the 2015 Summit is “New
Technologies andNewMarkets”.
The panel of speakerswill focus
on how new technologieswill
change the face of the access
industry in the next five to ten
years and look at how existing
technologies are still battling to
open up newmarkets around
theworld. Speakers are being
finalized, andwill cover topics
ranging from a report from
Bulgaria on the battle to reclaim
stolen AWPs, a presentation
from Turkey on the challenges
of opening newmarkets to new
technologies, and an update from
IPAF on the latest developments in
eLearning.
The full programwill be
announced shortly. The
conferencewill be held in English,
with simultaneous translation
into Spanish. Attendance at the
IPAF Summit conference is free.

Operating Engineers Local 324 inMichigan has become an IPAF
member and training center, and recently delivered its first
operator course.
This first coursewas run by Lee Graham, Local 324’s training
director, assisted by Gary Riley, NESRentals, and IPAF senior
instructor. Local 324will offer IPAF’s standardized operator
training program to its unionmembers inMichigan.

AGFbecomes trainingcenter
AGF Access Inc. is in the process of becoming an IPAF training center
to better serve its customers inOntario, Nova Scotia and the State of
Michigan, US.
Safetymanager Jamie Gibbings said, “Safety is a core value at AGF
Access Inc. andwe believe the IPAF training is comprehensive and
consistent. Offering this trainingwill help our customers operate aerial
work platforms safely andmore effectively.”
Openenrollment
instructor training
IPAF is coordinating several open enrollment instructor training
classes through approved training centers during 2015, with the aim
of broadening the base of new instructors trained and new training
centers delivering training.
Currently, two classeswill be given by IPAF senior instructors at NES
Rentals and Skyjack on the following dates:
February 23 – 26,
NESRentals, StoneMountain, GA
May 11 – 14,
Skyjack, Guelph, ON, Canada
Additional classeswill be scheduled later in the year in other parts of
the U.S. The cost for the four-day training class is $1,300 per trainee.
