people we are trying to educate and train.”
While each attendee might take away value
from various sectors, Weber says attendees
will gain valuable information and insights, an
understanding of what their peer organizations
are talking about and planning for and how
they are tackling specific challenges that might
be similar to the company a fellow attendee
might be representing. This could be through
presentations, training or the exhibition.
“I’m excited to co-present the first ever
scaffold builder rodeo,” Weber says of a new
feature to this year’s event. “This is done with
great success in Canada and would be nice
to start a new tradition at the convention.
Additionally, designating a day to safety through
the Austin Safety Stand Down shows our
commitment to the industry.”
This is also the year that SAIA’s president,
Marty Coughlin of Dependable Scaffold, will
hand down his term to president-elect, Mike
Russell of PowerClimber.
